Does anyone have any pictures of a Winnebago stripped to the frame? I am trying to get a real good idea of what this looks like so I know how far to go on mine. I have a lot of delamination which I guess is from the insulation swelling and pushing the side out. I would think you could cut that out from the inside and re-glue the siding and them re-foam the space or just use a more conventional insulation. I am obviously not going to replace a whole side!

Also, on the passenger side at the gasoline fill door you can see a different shade of color, that is a metal plate that goes from the accent stripe down to the molding and from just under the "i" in Chieftain to just forward of the canopy leg. Is this a factory piece? I am going to pull it for no other reason than to reseal it but I would like to know why it is there ahead of time if possible.
After one of the worst winters in many, many years it is finally starting to get above freezing during the day so I can start to work on it again.

I can't believe nobody here has done this! I have gotten some ideas on the Irv forum but I thought this would be the place where I would get the real stuff.

The only person I know of who did this similar type of job, was my dad on his 85 Jamboree, but it had the 'lap' style fiberglass siding and I think he was able to remove it in sections? Or he pulled it back carefully in a large section? it was glued on, so he use spray glue when putting it back together..I have no clue how you would go about doing a LARGE section like on your house. Im sure curious to see how it would be done....Our 86 P30 Komfort has some issues around a couple windows (from PO not properly sealing windows in the past) and Im leaving the delamination alone....it's sided in large fiberglass sections like yours.
Never get crap happy with a slap happy pappy

Most people here who have done anything like this have been working on a pre-fiberglas rig with aluminum siding.

Yea, I keep forgetting I am the youngster here.  W% W% I have gotten some good info and some pictures from a member over at the iRV2 forum. I think I am going to hold off on that project until fall. I will be sure to post the project as it progresses when I tackle it. I still have to get the radiator in and the gas tank out and the gas regulator fixed.
