Our old 19" LED pooped the bed when the gen began surging. 3 y/o..ok ....off to WW. Picked up a 19in Element brand which happens to be 12v with a 120v step down plug! Made up a new pigtail and powered off a nearby 12v source, added a simple toggle sw. to kill the standby mode and it works ! With our wall mount, the speakers are facing the wall, sound is mediocre but have a pair of USB powered units coming to mount above the TV. $98!! $8 for a 2 year replacement (TV)

I didn't know it was 12v until I got it home and unpacked it.

Going to try these speakers, they get good reviews.

How much amps has the tv should be written somewhere at the converter ? Probably all LCD tv and PC monitor  screen are working internally with dc power. A lot of them with 12v some with 19v.

I would suggest to get dc/dc converter to stabilize your 10-14.5v to real 12v gets you more lifetime out of the tv

For $98 + $8 for an extended warranty - does it matter if the dc is stabilized?

What are the outside dimensions? I don't see it anywhere in the specs.

Went to Wal-Mart's website and nothing, no Element TV's listed at all. You must have gotten lucky.

Actually they have a 50" two 32" and a 40" and that is it.

This TV could run forever or die in matter of months. It always depends. The specs are showing it's an LED Back-lite display.
So now in the moment they LEDs are probably are getting brighter when you are over 12v and darker if you are under.

They whole thing is getting hotter. So if you start watching TV outside with 100 degrees and the TV at the wall - you don't have to be an electrician to guess what happens. It overheats.  I would get something like this:

Any voltage to 12V :P
But this is me, I am most likely always overkill such things.

The 2 year replacement policy is typically WM...No q's asked.

Just hooked to the speakers......They rock!

It's not listed but your store may have it in stock, mine did! Looks like only the 720p unit has the 12v plug.

Measured the output of the step down plug at 12.5v avg with 115-117v in. Doesn't fluctuate much on the out v. I have digital meters to monitor acv and dcv. My dc is very stable, time will tell for the TV longevity.

And Element TVs are assembled in the USA.  Don't know if that makes them any better or worse, but at least somebody in the country has a job.
