Anyone have any idea if you have one of these installed in the system if you winterize as normal or is there something special you have to do? Thanks

Google rv winterize with accumulator installed .  There a few PDFs out there that talk to winterizing a system with an accumulator.

Yep Dave. I searched sureflo and model number and same plus manual. Nothing really said what for sure to do. Thanks for your help.

Did anyone else get caught off guard with this Arctic Blast and didn't get fully winterized?  I hope I did enough but I'm not sure I got to the bathtub drain soon enough.  Naturally, if it cracks, it is the hardest plumbing line to get to.  I blew out the water lines and drained all the tanks, but I wanted to blow the lines again before putting it away for the winter.  There is always residual water that pools back up after the first blow out.  Oh well, too late to worry about it now.

Nearly caught us Dan. We were camping Halloween weekend when the first freeze came but had plans to camp again. We rushed getting canned goods, water and soda we keep on the coach off then in the dark after work this past week I drained the water heater, purged the holding tanks and filled them and the lines with RV antifreeze. Still have the coach batts to service and put the tender on the the chassis battery but I think the water systems are safe now.

I left water in the lines and the water tank.  Set the furnace on 45 and left the hot water on.  Dropped antifreeze in the holding tanks.  Next week when the thaw sets in, I'll either blow out the water lines, or take a trip to Maryland.

I got lucky and went ahead and did mine early as the forecast was calling for mid 30's here in Utah. The bad news is we are taking the RV to Phoenix for Thanksgiving and will have to rewinterize when I get back. I did install a water heater bypass after the fact so should be much easier. I replaced the tank in the water heater about a month ago and was not taking any chances.
