Since my new ref. is not in an RV yet, I figured this may be the right spot for this info.

FWIW, yesterday I set up my new (uninstalled) 4.5 cu ft energy star fridge on the deck and plugged into the house. I switched to inverter last evening, the batts were at 12.51v. This morning, 9 hrs. later the batts are at12.45v. About 500a of batts. It is in an unheated area ambient 70-50f.

Fridge draws 1.5a, about 165w running on 400w msw inverter (110v out)

Brandy new fridges are very fugal these days!!    :)clap

I've got a 10 cubic feet GE residential Energy Star installed. Draws about 120w while running on a Inverter.

But I had it running in 90 degree in Florida weather and the compressor was on for 30min or more in one hour.

I would recommend insulation the space where the fridge goes in ! I will do this, in the winter. Could probably put 3-4 Inches of insulation on the top between the roof and the fridge and about 2 inches on each side. Everything which keeps the fridge cool keeps the energy down which is drawn out of the batteries.
