My Avco has 2 tanks.  A 60 gal and a 90 gals (I believe).  And these are large heavy steel and rusty beasts.
If nothing else, for the weight saving aspect, does any one know a source that makes replacement fuel tanks from a durable plastic?
The searches I have done only come up with automotive types that only hold 10-12 gals.
Need some big tanks that hold 50 gal+ and good with gas or diesel.

Tank-Depot.com      i  googled and found a few....make sure you have your dimensions handy or you will be wasting your time.

I cant imagine it would be worth the money and trouble to find replacement tanks if yours are still serviceable.  Size is only part of the equation.  Exact dimensions to fit in the space, size and curvature for the straps, size and positioning of the sender and filler holes, etc.

Even the crappiest steel tank can be reconditioned, cleaned and coated.  Plastic replacements of the size youre talking about would have to be so thick and strong that weight savings will probably be small, if they even make them that big
