exterior mystery compartment solved

So when we initially inspected our MH before purchase, we ran into this compartment on the outside...

We couldn't for the life of us figure out what it used to be for, until we found the original owners kit and discovered this...

Whoever thought this would be a good idea!?!? And, what do we turn it into now?  Any suggestions?

Put a tray in it and use it to store a small tool kit, a first aid kit, bbq utensils, an outside stereo?

Seems a little low to be a useful grill, haha.

I don't see the downside of using it as a grill as designed, if you have all the parts.

That was the first thing I thought.
Would have to be sitting on the ground to be comfortable.

Lawn chair, cooler on one side, grill on the other, table in the front, no need to even get up out of the chair :D
