360 Thermostat recommendations

What do you guys recommend for a thermostat in a dodge 360 Minnie Winnie 23rb?

If your cooling system is clean and up to par, you should run a 180* or 185* for best mileage.
If not, go with a 160* or 165*.

Thanks,I did a search before I posted and didn't really see anything that helped with my question.It is my understanding that there is a "special" thermostat for the 440 in a RV and just wondered if the same went for the 360 in a RV

Ah...  The Service Manual states that either type of T-stat can be used in the 360.  However, the Parts Book only lists the same T-stats as the 440-3 (either 185* or 195*).


So, given that the skirted type seems to be better at cooling, I would opt for the skirted type, just like the 440-3 uses.
There are plenty of pics and reference to this style on the site, as you note.
