So happy with my new coil springs

What a huge difference in ride and control. I am 100% confident that I made the right decision to go with the heavier springs recommended by Stengel Bros.

In my opinion there is no need for Air Bags with the heavier springs. I believe the air bags were a band aid solution to putting too big of a house on a particular chassis. I am glad I don't need to worry about leaky bags ever again. IMHO

While I was installing them I fretted at first about getting them positioned exactly right.
I said to myself just throw them in (right side up of course) and they should find their own
seating once I hit a few bumps. Sure enough as I was pluggin along all of a sudden...........Sprrrrooonnnnnnng.......Twaaanngggg and I new then the springs found their home.........................

I just had mine out a few weeks ago to install new airbags (along with all the other suspension servicing like shocks  etc). It wasn't difficult to line the springs up when putting them back in. Get them close, get the jack under the lower A-arm (I used a floor jack with wheels). Then just put very slight pressure on them and give a twist back and forth until you feel the end of the spring set into the pocket.

    Did you stick with the original gauge springs or did you go heavier like I did??

I only replaced the airbags for now.

Put the HD springs in and then tell me how easy it is to line them up. N:( D:oH!

A Tip...............Spay the top and bottom of the springs and the seat areas with the slipperiest  lubricant you can find (I used Fluid Film)...........and they will find their seat.
