Do any of you fine people have experience with replacing the bath tub faucet?
Mine has a spray head but the down spout has a rubber hose with a bolt jammed in it.  Then a hose clamp around it.  Which leaks.

Any thoughts?

Photos would help. Shower spray heads do 'leak down' for a reason. Is the down spout also the shower spout? Hose from the faucet to the shower spout? Again, many different rigs and plumbing and infrastructure.

Okay here are 2 pictures.  Sorry for not posting them before, I wasn't thinking.

The hose for the shower head is coming out the bottom.  I assume the black hose had a spigot on it once upon a time.

If you pull off the 4 little caps on the plate. Then the screws behind them and any sealer around the plate it will pull out and allow you to remove the hoses and the faucet. Be sure to reseal.

I must say Joan, Where is your mind at? It does though. As soon as the pic popped up it was what in the world!!!!

So, will I need to get one designed directly for Winnebago or an RV?
Or can I use one made for a standard house?

My what a long skinny petcock you have.... D:oH!

Replace the whole assembly with an RV style faucet
Never get crap happy with a slap happy pappy

The RV faucet is designed so when you lift the shower knob it directs the water to the shower and the shower is designed to have a shut off button on it so you can get wet and shut off the water and soap up. A little water will still flow to keep the temperature up and also give a little water to rinse with if you only need a little. It is all about water conservation in an RV. When you are done just shut off the water and the knob pops in and drains the shower hose. You could use house parts but you would run out of water quickly if you were boondocking and you would fill your tank very quickly if you were not constantly hooked in to a dump.

ah hell, I just expressed what everyone else was thinking. :P

True but a bit off topic. :D ;) ;) :)rotflmao

You can use a house one. Just measure between the two pipes and get one the same. Most will fit.
