I came out of the movies yesterday and saw a wire harness dragging the ground.  I found it has a black, white, orange and green wire.  It was behind the step about center way under the rv.  I picked it up and wrapped each wire in rubber water proof tape and tied it up out of the way.

It seems like this may have been part of an issue with the way the electrical part of the motor was acting up.  Since I secured it off the ground, the rv is running better.

However, I have a question.  Does the orange wire not indicate it is attached to the ignition system?  I think it is the remote start for the generator.  I don't use it but it also won't turn over when I hit the dash switch.

Also, my turn signals appear to be working on the dash again.  I'm thinking the wires dragging the road may have been shorting the system.  Everything seems to be working ok now.

Ok.  The wires are not for the remote start on the Generator.  I can push the dash switch with the ignition off and it turns over.  I will crawl under and investigate tomorrow after work.

Possibly the wires for your hitch/trailer plug in back?

I hope so.  I will check tomorrow.  Been raining nonstop for 3 days

3 days.  If only it were that brief here in the Pacific Northwet.  Where it's not uncommon for it to rain long enough for you to wind up with a new zip code!

Well, got under and checked.   Turns out the black wire was actually purple.  The wires go to the area that used to have a refrigerator.

CapnDirk

So you have no refrigerator?  Are you sure that's where they went?, I would not think they would route refrigerator wires UNDER the coach.

Most hitch harnesses run down the driver side. If they are 16 -18 gauge on the passenger side they could go to a relay or switch for what is in that area.
But it is very common to find some P.O. handy custom work.

It appears to be running along the frame on the same side as the refrigerator. I am not 100% sure that is what it was/is for but I can't find anything else with an orange wire going to it.  But everything else is working.

Again the wires are white, purple, orange and green.  The wires going up through the floor to where the fridge was has an orange wire.  I suppose it may go to the switches for the floor, porch and rv lights.  But they are all working fine.

Its just been too wet and cold to do much on the weekends when I have day light.  For now, everything is working.  (Except the tail lights.)  But, I can not find anyplace else that wires are broken free.
