Red light on my charge panel stays on.

When I plug the power cord into the receptacle in the house the red light on the breaker/charge panel stays on and my house batteries boil over.  Red LED light on the panel never goes out or blinks.  What do any of you think about that?  I saw on another post that someone replaced the panel with a newer one.

Charger/converter is probably toast. Most of us who have had problems have gone through Randy at Best converters. He will steer you in the right direction to a newer and much better unit.

Thumbs up for the recommendation to Randy at Best. He is very highly regarded here.
Regardless of what you decide on an upgrade is a good idea. Chances are you have a 6300 or 7300 series Magnatek as OE. They have caused a lot of problems.

You will not have the 6300 or 7300 series,they do not use a control board with the red light.You have the older style with the charge board with the red led that shines through the face panel.Check where the pins are soldered to the board,i have seen where the joints have worked loose from vibration.Make sure you disconnect both your 110v and 12v power before you try to remove the board.
Make sure you have good batteries and you have 12v power from the battery to the converter.
I may have a replacement board if needed,just need to know how many pins are on your board.

I have a PD767QO3RLTCABPower Converter on my 1987 Bounder and I had an RV Mechanic look at it today and he said that the relay for sure was bad and the circuit board a good possibility.  I saw where someone on this board replaced theirs and it cost them $200 for the Power Converter.  I have 4 circuit breakers on the left side and under the lift door on the PC I have inline glass fuses.  I cannot find the original post that I saw where the person purchased the unit and installed it himself.  The RV guy suggested I replace the whole thing.
