1975 D70HD hub swap from 5x8 to 8x6.5?

I have read that the hub bearing part number is the same for my M500 chassis as newer model trucks/RV with D70U and 8x6.5 lug hubs.
I'm waiting on my "lifetime" membership to come through so I can reference this myself.
Anyone ever pulled their rear end apart?

I would love this info as well.  It would be cool to be able to get some modern wheels for the '76.  Mine would look killer with a set of Alcoa's on there.

I didn't find it to be the same. My plan is to eventually swap both ends with later model 8x6.5 front and rear ends to get rid of the 5x8s
