Replace & Relocate Main Breaker

My generator is making 120v, but the main breaker in the compartment is completely rusted open.  Plus the box is behind the fan side of the generator

I want replace and relocate the box and breaker, anyone done this??

To answer the question, you can put the breaker wherever you want to, as long you have long enough wires.

about 1 hour, a new 30 amp breaker, 12" each of new 8ga. hot, neutral and ground wire, a new 3/4" 90* elbow, a 3/4" close nipple and a couple of lock screws was all it took to relocate the breaker box.  I am happy to report the generator is working well!!

oh...all for under $20.00 too!!
