Hello folks, I am new to this board so be easy on me... I have a 1978 Winnebago Brave... We didn't get her winterized well enough last year and we had some fresh water line leaks.. I was able to just disconnect the water line and cap it to everything but the kitchen sink....

My question is how do i get the stove out to do my repairs???

Thanks in advance....

If it is a standard 4 or 3 burner stove/oven, you can remove the stove-top (it just pops off), and there will be two screws holding the stove in place on each side. The screws hold the stove in place by securing to the counter top. I have seen some ovens that have 6 screws, but no different other than that. The gas is connected to a manifold where all the controls are. You can remove that with a wrench. That should do it, and it should slide right out after that. Make sure your gas is off before removing.

Correct.  On my 78 Brave, you just remove the cooking grid, then lift the top, which exposes the 4 screw , one about each corner .  also the gas connection is there.

Be careful when you take the gas connection apart, and don't bend the copper tube near the connection.  After screws are removed you can gently slide the stove away from the gas line.  That will expose the water heater and a metal plate next to the shower.  You can take one or two screws out of the metal plate to get to the shower connection.  The water line are poly butyl tubing with flares.  The way I repaired mine was with a butt connector.  I think they were 3/8 inch OD, placed in the breaks.  a heat gun helps to insure a easy slide in joint and a tight fit.  also used  hose clamps.
