I'm going to replace the outdated coax cabling on my 1988 Winnie Elandan. I noticed that the wiring is setup in a unique way that I'm almost afraid I'm going to mess something up if I don't ask here first.

From the vanguad antenna, the cable goes in the coach and travels all the way to the front along with two other cables. At the coax outlet on the front cabin, there is a box with three coax connected to it and one comes out to connect a tv on the front cabin. next to the output connector, there is a switch to change from antenna to cable with an LED next to it.

Then on the box itself, the three cables that go IN the box are label as follow: CABLE, ANTENNA, SET 2.

next to the kitchen counter, there is another coax outlet similar to the one up front with a switch to select cable or antenna and an LED next to it. The outlet on the back room, does not have this switch nor LED, it is just the coax outlet. I removed the box up front and noticed that there is 12v power going to the coax wiring and the ground is grounded to the chassis.

My question is: Can I just wire the coach like at home where all I need is to run cable from every point where I need a TV to a central point and just put a splitter to join all of them into a single coax and hook that to the antenna or CABLE??
Do I need to ground the coax to the chassis??
i??

Thank to all of you who respond in advance!

Pat and I think that the 12V is just to power the LED light on the switch. Gone has similar set up with only 1 led cable/antennae switch over the dash. There is 12V to the switch but the cable that runs to the rear of the rig does not have the 12V with it, just the coax.

on your tv antenna the 12v dc may power a signal booster. the antenna in my trailer and the new one for my winnie are both amplified antennas

Could the booster be at the antenna itself? I looked into the junction box and like tiinytina said, it looks like it just lights the LED. I have not looked at the one on the kitchen counter to see if there is any amplifying circuit in there. I will check tomorrow. Thanks guys.
