I need a new headlight switch. If my 78 Pace Arrow is on a Dodge chassis, would the headlight switch be the same as like a 1978 Dodge truck?

Thanks in advance.

1.  Many RV builders (Fleetwood, Winnebago, etc.) built the house portion on the previous years chassis.  It would not surprise me that you have a 77 Dodge chassis rather than a 78.  You need the Dodge VIN number to decode that.
2.  If you know the proper chassis year, go to the club store and purchase both the service manual and parts manual for your rig.  This will save you a lot of pain in the long run.   The 69-75 service manual version will cover most things on your rig.  I suspect a 31' rig will be on either a M500 or M600 chassis.
3.  The Dodge Headlight switch P/N for a 69-77 chassis is different from the 78-80 chassis.  This also results in different aftermarket P/N's at places like NAPA when you cross reference the Dodge P/N.  This is a prime example of why you need to know exactly what you have.

Always try to cross the Dodge P/N to an aftermarket number before trying to use a simular chassis approach.

Headlight switch found! This is a switch that is used in older Chrysler/Dodge/Plymouth cars and trucks in the 60's and early 70's.

Borg Warner P/N S426 found at Checker for $13.99.

Wells P/N SW151 found at Auto Zone for $15.99.
