attaching table to wall?

on my d-22 the hook latches the table fits into while in the up position is mortally loose and longer screws do not help , any advice??  should I just buy a base and fix it to the floor?

You can certainly add a base or two, to make it more stable.  However, if screws will no longer hold the factory mount to the wall, then you've got seriously rotted wood behind the padded panel.  Most likely from leakage at the window (see fuzzy window seal).
