Was an odd race but my 2 sons and I were there with my 78 Chieftain.  Had a great time even though it started out with a blowout before I got 10 miles from home.  Put the spare on and kept going!

Sounds like a fun weekend to me!! I've been to Talladega several times, since it's in my neck of the woods. I used to live about 15 miles from it... I'm about 30-35 miles from it now.
