engine size confusion 360 or 318?

Hi all...
My vin says the engine is a 360-2, but for some (unknown) reason, I had the idea that I have a 318 - not sure where I got that information, but I'm wondering... is it possible, and how do I verify? Hm?

360 heads and intake will fit right on a 318 block. So just looking at them can be confusing.

On the wall of the block, drivers side, it will have in rather large numbers, 318-x or 360-x or maybe even 340-x.   Looking from the top there really is no sure way to tell what you have.

Yes, thanks for asking, Mark. Its a 360 with a 2 barrel carb.
Now on to tires and manifold exhaust.... but that's for another post.
