Does anyone have a part # for the water outlet that goes over the thermostat housing on a 1972 413 engine.  It look like 2" exaust pipe attached to a flange.  I tried a couple of auto parts stores yesterday only to find cast ones with smaller outlets for 440's.
Also looking for a modern part # for radiator core.  I'm told that it's very heavy duty (12 luvered fins/inch) and 1/2" tubes.  This is also for '72 413.  The radiator shops want $475 to recore mine.  I'm a poor little tractor guy in winter!

                                               Thanks

Yes, that 413 radiator is a big thick thing, which is what I like about it.   I paid $545 to get mine recored and the cracks in the header tank fixed, in the fall of 2002.  At the time the shop manager said a new one would cost  over $800.    I might be able to find the part number for the entire radiator after I get home from work this afternoon (its 11:00 a.m. EST where I am), but I dont know that the core had a part number - at least I never saw one.
The part number from the dodge motor home chassis parts catalog for that thermostat housing “outlet elbow or connection” is:   2955948 for all 413-1s from 1969 through 1973, when the 440-3 replaced the 413-1.    I would be looking in salvage yards for that part.   Its the kind of item that can survive a burnt engine or cracked block.  What happened to yours?   I have to use a good bit of RTV gasket maker when I bolt mine back in, or it leaks a little.
The manual calls for a 7 psi radiator cap for the 413, and that is what I use.   This lowers the pressure on the flat surfaces of that generous top tank, and lowers the chance of it working loose from where it is soldered to the core.     Looking into the area below the thermostat in the water pump housing you can see a lower ring, which is where the skirt on the bottom of the correct type of thermostat reaches, to close off the coolant flow for the warm-up loop, and forces the water to flow through the radiator instead.    Do you grease that fitting for your 413 water pump.  The nipple comes out close to the distributor.  I give it a shot each 2000 miles.
Im curious where you found your replacement radiator hoses.  I had to send off to my favorite mopar obsolete OEM supply guy to get my last set.  There is a reasonable dayco replacement for the upper hose, but that big fat bottom hose doesn’t resemble anything else I could find.

Denion,
Thanks for the part #.  I couldn't cross it to anything new, so I'll try a wrecking yard.  Does any one know of a winne grave yards on the west coast (San Jose, California) area?  As for as the old one, It looked like swiss cheese.  I took a piece of exaust tube and welded to the flange. It will work for now, but would love to find a good one in my travels.  Someone mentioned a winne w/413 engine sitting in wrecking yard in West Virginia, but I haven't been able to find that tread again.
The lower radiator hose was a mopar still in good shape; Therefore I didn't have to replace it.  Didn't get the # before installing it.  The top hose is also mopar with #295 9567.  I also have a spare water pump in the box FP 2218 TRW.  This is a great web site thanks to all.  I wonder if we could start some sort of list of modern part # to help everyone?  The parts stores don't seem to have listings on these industrial size rigs.  And  they look at you like they have been sniffing glue when you ask!
                                                                   Thanks
