Just bought a 77 Winnebago Brave at an auction, drove it home about an hour (stressful. it runs bad) and just as I pulled into my yard the motor died and I lost all electrical. Replaced the battery and still nothing, no radio or anything. When I hooked up the new battery I had a bit of spark connecting the ground, which makes me think something is getting power, but I'm unsure where.
Searching has led me to believe it is a ballast resistor, since it's a common problem I'll replace it today. Any other ideas?

Good job on using the search for possible causes.  If your battery is good and you get absolutely zilcho power to any of the chassis systems (starting, dash...)... from what I've read here over the years, take a look at the fusible link.

Punch that in the message search, check it, and take it from there.

The topics tell you what it is, where to find it, and how to fix it.

Found the fusible link and jumped it with another wire, still no power to anything. Don't have a test light on hand, so I'll have to run and grab that before looking at anything else. Also replaced the dual ballast with no changes. I don't have lights, dash, etc.

I lied, it was the fusible link after all.
