Working under the Chieftain and got a better look at the custom holding tanks a previous owner installed. They are welded stainless tanks.

The gray water tank is 40" wide x 26" deep x 5" tall which works out to about a 22.5 gallon capacity. This seems rather small, is this a normal usable size for typical weekend camping use?

The black water tank is 26" wide x 15" deep X 19" tall. That works out to about 32 gallons of capacity. Again is this a decent size for weekend camping?

The other question is no monitoring system was installed on the tanks. What system would work best with metal tanks? I still have the original panel and the wiring was cut off by the tanks.

Thanks

Only thing I can pass on is the 17gal grey tank in mine barely gets me through a 3 day weekend.  I purchased the CAMCO Holding Tank Maximizer so I can transfer the grey tank to my 56 gal black tank.
