The slicing windows have not been opened for a long time and now I am trying to free them up. The trackes appear to be in good shape however the only way to move them is force them open with a padded pinch bar.  Have other people had this problem and discovered a solution such as a specific spry or lubricant which might free them up so they would move in a reasonable fashion.

I heard silicone spray was good to use as well..

If they are lined then silicone is the only thing to use.

I don't know what you mean by lined.  The are single pane glass set in the standard track overlapping fixed pains.  I would prefer to use silicon as I think it would be less messy then the Lithium grease.

I know you won't believe this, but the best thing I have found was Blue Dawn and water, it won't harm the rubber or attract dust like lubs will. Once you have then freed up coat the rubber with white soap and it will be easy to maintain for a long time.
