Just curious, has anyone used roof coating on the sides of the RV?  I was sitting here thinking... "Man, that would really seal up any pin holes.

Anyone?  Bueller? Hm?

How do the pin holes develop?  Is this common to the Winnebago's?

It will look like you painted yours with roof sealant.  Just saying.  :)

I have those little pin holes on the bottom of my rig. its from the windows leaking causing the wood to rot on the lower part of the motor home. I have removed all the rotten wood and replaced it and have got the new window seals. (still need to install)

My idea is to wrap the bottom with vehicle wrap. I no a guy that does that kind of thing to trucks and trailers, with pictures and graphics and such. I'm thinking plain white and the little holes are covered and cant be seen no more.
If I do decide to do it I will post pics of the results.

The pin holes are caused by electrolosis as  the entire skin is a ground circuit the wetness caused an electrical current to perforate the skin . Its like a big battery makeing acid ! Thats my opinion anyway .Frank

Thanks all....
I have already replaced the damaged wood, cleaned the back side of the metal and "Eterna bond" taped the holes from the back side.  I was planning to do a little filler primer to hide some of the holes.

Once I finish the other side, I will be ready to paint.  I have the roof coating on order (took Mark's advice and went with the Safe-T-Plex) and was wondering how it would work along the bottom of the sides.

Anyway, I guess I'll just have to try a patch and see...  stay tuned.
