$@!#@!   While pulling my tank today, the pressured fuel line that goes to the regulator got yanked up.  The line is loose from the main sending unit body.  Not sure how to fix this.  The problem was the factory line was way too short to get into there and remove while the tank was coming down.  The other two lines had plenty of slack.

Hard to see here, but the hard line next to the electrical connector is broke free from the main body.  I could have it soldered on, but would have to disconnect the electrical connector nearby.

Also, here is the too short factory line.  It has the same connectors as the oil cooler lines with an o'ring seal.  I need to lengthen this line somehow.  Any ideas?  I could put a barb fitting on the regulator easily, but the sending unit side will need some way of securing a 3/8" fuel line.

Thinking I may try some JB weld once I install a new fuel pump on the sending unit.  The fuel pump will hold the tubing secure while the JBweld cures, which is supposed to be fuel resistant.  Still need to figure how to attach a new fuel hose to the sending unit.

I have had no luck at all with JB Weld on fuel  related items at all. And this would be the worst because you would not know it till you have it all back together. I hate to say it but I think you are going to need the whole new setup. Also do yourself a big favor and put in a rebuild kit in the regulator while you can get to it. For 8.00 it is really cheap insurance.

If I could buy a new sending unit I would check into it, but haven't found one.  There is a place that rebuilds them.  The PO already rebuilt the regulator.  I plan to put all new fuel lines in also.

Dave, thanks for the link.  This one looks nearly identical except the return line(middle line) on mine is a barbed fitting, not a connector.  This unit would work on mine I believe.  The only thing is it doesn't say if its for the 40 or 60 gal tank.  Wonder if there is a difference?

I was able to apply some jb weld to mine and it seems like a good fix.  Gonna use my original for now.

Installed a new Delphi pump and strainer.  Also, took apart the level sender and cleaned up the contacts.  Interestingly it reads about 10 ohms to 100 ohms.  Not sure how exact this needs to be as the GM units are spec'd at 0-90 ohm.  Didn't change even after cleaning it up.  I cut off the pressure line fitting and will slip 3/8" hose on as far as possible and put a couple of clamps on it.
