Where is the engine temp sending unit - 413 ?

I have a '72 Indian with a 413 engine and I've looked all over the block and I can't find a sender anywhere.  Can anyone tell me where to find it.  And can I get to it from the coach or from underneath?                                                      Skypilot



On mine, the temp sender is on the passenger side engine head, in the middle from front to back, above the manifold and below the rocker cover. I suppose it could be on the other head as well, if someone had reversed them. The sender is pretty small, 1/8 p.t., maybe a 3/8th hex head. deniso
