Can someone tell me the exact location of the temperture sending unit on a dodge 318 '75 brave. I think it is missing on mine. The guage does not register. I cannot find the wire on the engine.   Charly,

Mine is in the crossover coolant passage in front of the carb on the old cast iron 2 barrel manifold.    chip

I have a 1970 Winniebago with a Dodge 318 and my temp sending unit is on the rear of the motor on the right hand side if you are behind the motor facing forward. In the cyl. head or just below

had the same problem on my 72 Brave. The sending unit was located on the
right hand side of the back of the engine in the waer jacket of the head.
Rather small, it looked like just a 10-32 stud sticking out of the back of
the block. I found a cut off wire which I grounded and the temp started to
go to the top. I spliced on a wire to reach this stud, and it worked.
