It probably is not kosher for me to post this on the "Projects" thread as I had a mechanic do all the work. A couple of weeks ago I took my 1990 Elandan into a shop recommended by our local RV dealer. The Elandan checked out pretty well except it needed new shocks all around, a new steering dampener, and new front air bags. I was given a quote for Monroe shocks (over $100 per shock), but told them I was more interested in Bilstein shocks than Monroe. The garage said I could order Bilstein shocks online, and they would just charge me for the labor.

I ordered the Bilsteins from Truck Spring (www.truckspring.com) in Saginaw, MI, and their price on the Bilstein shocks was considerably lower than the price the garage quoted me for the Monroe shocks. I was quite pleased with the service from Truck Spring. I tried to order the shocks the night before online, and it was a good thing I could not figure out their online ordering system. I had the wrong part number for one set. I called and placed my order online the next morning, and their staff called Bilstein to make sure the correct part numbers were ordered. There was a 10% promotion offered for online orders, and I asked for it on the phone and they gave it to me. With the discount, the price was just under $90.00 per shock with free shipping and no sales tax.

I hope you got your air bags there too? They have the best prices around and great service. I paid 95.00 for the bags and hoses and installation kit if I remember correctly.

Another resource for springs, air bags and shocks here, http://www.sdtrucksprings.com/, picked up a new set of Air Lift rear bags with installation kit, with the factory rebate they were $245.00

I did the same with sdtrucksprings.com.  With the rebate, doing the rear air bags on the our Dodge was a no-brainer.  Really happy with the results too.
