Has anyone replaced the roof marker lights above windshield on an 89 or similar chieftain? Are they a common light you can get at walmart? Or are they a special size?

Any RV supply store should have similar size/style in stock or ordered.  You should be able to find makers marks/numbers on the light base itself and search on the internet for prices as well (Amazon, Ebay).

This has come up before and to the best of my knowledge nobody found and exact replacement that fits in the recess correctly short of going to Winnebago and buying their golden ones.

Mine were in pretty rough shape, but still held the lens.  I used 3m4200 to seal the periphery of the base, sealed the wires real well so water could get through, and replaced the screws with stainless steel screws dipped in 4200.  There were a couple of cracks on the inside of the base that I sealed also.  I still need to look at the rear lights.

If you have a pic or a number off the the light i may have some.
