 HI all,
I have a 77 Winnebago Elandan 2 motorhome. I am missing the city water connection plate on the outside of the coach. Where it used to go, there is a hose the size of a fuel line that is blocked off. Does anyone know if that hose is where the connection for the city water is made? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Follow that line back and see what it connects to.  A city water line connection is much bigger in diameter.

As shown in this typical RV water system figure, there is a tank fill and a city water connection.

Start at the pump and follow the lines back so that you know which line your looking for.

Typical Gravity Tank fill connection looks like:

Being on inlet side of pump it is not pressuresd.  Also, there is typically a small vent hose connected to allow air to escape the tank when filling.

Typical City water connection:

Pump outlet side.  Pressurized.  Requires internal one way stop valve to prevent pressurized water from escaping when removing city water connection.  Also the one way valve prevents contaminated water from being injected into the city supply system.

You should start at the pump and follow each side (gravity feed side vs pressurized side) to the components.
