House battery only runs when ignition is in "ON" position

My house battery will only run when key is turned to on position...I am plugged into shore power through generator.  I am trying to get my frig cold but don't want to run down My engine battery....help!

Well to me that says all the wiring from solenoid to your converter and all fuses are good. So its either a connection at the house battery or the battery is junk.

When the key is on you are running voltage from the start batt to the house battery pos cable. So it just about has to be the cable connections at the battery or a bad battery.
