I have a 72 winne that is in the stages of remodel. We are trying to decide the best way to deal with the shower. We have decided to paint the bathtub with epoxy white instead of its current popcorn yellow color but the walls are providing a different challenge. They seem to be covered in yellow floral wallpaper. Has anyone dealt with this? Any tips for best replacement? Modern water proof wallpaper (does that exist?) Can I paint it?
Thanks!!

I have painted over wp paper in a stick house. Scrub the surface thoroughly with TSP and use semi or gloss. No guarantees.

Yeah, I don't know how well or how long painting over the original, funky-flower wallpaper would work.  I think removing it, or gluing some kind of waterproof wall paneling or shower surround or something over or in place of it would be the most prudent route.

Was wondering this myself. The walls in my shower are water-resistant but the ceiling is the same as the rest of the rig; paperboard. If you get any water on it it'll just absorb in! Wanted to paint it with some mold resistant paint but wasn't sure how well that'd work out.
