i am in the process of restoring my 1973 Winni Brave and when removing the outside porch lite that's recessed the plastic fell apart in my hands from rot or old age, any ideas.

That's pretty common.  Had exactly the same thing happen with mine.  Found a nice, vintage one with a glass lens in the junkyard for literally no cost.  Any 12v exterior light that strikes your fancy would be a suitable replacement.

I too, have lost 3 of those plastic covers. I even bought a brand new light at sands rv, and it does not come with the plastic lens cover.  $@!#@!

The last one I was lucky enough to get From TJ's parts bago.  ( thanks TJ )  :)ThmbUp

if you do find where to buy them by 3. then post it for us.

Don't know if this helps, but I replaced the lens on my 83 HR by calling PPL. They sent me a replacement and it's stayed on for over a year now.

Sorry.  I thought PPL was like JC Witney. Everyone just knew about it.

Had I not known from getting my Eternabond tape from PPL, I would have thought he was talking about my old electric company up north:
