I am experiencing problems that seem to point to a clogged waste drain vent.  I can't look directly down the end of the vent pipe from the roof as there is a tee attached to the end of the pipe.

Is it actually possible for debris or even a small animal to get into the vent pipe with the tee on there?

Has anyone else ever experienced blocked plumbing vents?

Thanks in advance.

I ran a snake down mine, it was smelling up the interior a bit, all clear now. Don't know what was in it (nor do I want to)

Critters love any kind of small opening. Squirrells will stuff nuts in them for safe keeping, and wasps or dirt daubers will build nests in them, which can clog the pipes.
Birds, especially small ones, have been known to build nests in them as well.

It's a good idea to add either the proper caps (which contain protective mesh screens), or at least cover the openings with some screen material tie wrapped to the pipes.
