I've had an 88 superchief for 5 years now and had little to no problems.
last year on our way out I was driving with the dual switch on to charge the coach batteries, I heard a sorta "pop"
Now with the dual switch on, the green coach battery light (on the dash) doesn't illuminate and the "choke"light comes on.
Everything still works individually tho.

As this is my first RV,
I'm not sure where to look for said solenoid or how to test if it's good?
Any insight as where to look would be greatly appreciated!

There are pages and pages of info on the MOM switch already in the forums. Use the search function upper right hand corner of the forum and enter MOM switch. Your answer is probably already here.

So I did a search and found some great info regarding the possible solenoid issue.
Does anyone know where to find this solenoid on my RV?

Under the hood, drivers side you should have a metal plate right below the windshield. Behind that plate are all of your circuit breakers. These breakers are mounted on a couple of hinged panels and behind those panels are the solenoids.

I did a post on them a while back but I do not remember what it was called.

The momentary solenoid is on the passenger side on the firewall out in the open if I remember correctly, it is silver cylindrical with one small post and two large posts. If you need me to I will go out and look at mine and tell you exactly where it is. Mine is only a year newer so should be the same.

Update
Last night,  I was rummaging around for hours picking through the "rats nest" that's under the dash trying to trace wires and checking fuses.  I looked under the hood for a solenoid,  the only one I could see was the main one coming off the chassis battery. On the drivers side behind the bumper. Is this the one in looking for?

I was looking for something else for someone and saw an 88 Chieftain and the hood only covered the center of the front of the vehicle. Is this what yours does? Mine goes all the way side to side and that means the layout is going to be different.

This is what the front of mine looks like,  I looked up and in as far as I could see.
I don't think I missed anything I could see behind the headlights and up almost to the bottom of the glass.

Yep, your hood is totally different than my 89. So I am guessing your electrical center will be somewhere else. Let me do some digging and I will see if I can come up with something. Dave may also chime in with his thoughts, they are usually right on the money.

I have an 86 Chief (31RQ) and the solenoids are mounted in the back of the battery box, passenger side, right behind the front wheel and right in front of the LP tank. Back of the box close to the frame. Slide out your battery tray and take a look.

The movie Twister - that research instrument? Yeah, she figured it out.

Sounds like yours is a little different than mine. My coach batteries are under the step at the side door,  accessed from inside. There is a solenoid in there which clicks on/off  when using the coach battery switch.

I can't believe how much they moved stuff around from year to year! No rhyme or reason.
