Well, we continue to work through all the problems on our 1978 Tiffin, M600.  The latest problem is that we have found that one of the rear wheel cylinders is leaking - so, time to replace wheel cylinders and brake shoes.

I have found the shoes in a few different places - but it looks like http://www.alretta.com/ is the only source for the wheel cylinders.  Does anyone know of another source?  Does anyone know of a source for rebuild kits so I could possibly rebuild my current cylinders?

Thanks a bunch!

Part numbers should be Wagner F28661, which are available on E-bay for $55.00 a pair (plus $12.00 shipping) http://www.ebay.com/itm/WHEEL-CYLINDERS-59-68-FORD-F500-F600-F700-TRUCK-/281073651889  (listed for a Ford, but I confirmed that this is the correct part number for a '78 M-600)

Also available direct from Amazon.com for $30.87 ea with free shipping  http://www.amazon.com/Wagner-WC28661-Wheel-Cylinder-Assembly/dp/B000CQPWHS
They have two in stock.

Raybestos part number is WC28661 and are also in stock at Amazon for $27.92 and free shipping http://www.amazon.com/Raybestos-WC28661-Professional-Grade-Cylinder/dp/B000FFU5F0

Raybestos Wheel Cyl. kit is part number WK195 and there's a seller on Ebay that's got 9 available for $9.95 ea. and free shipping  http://www.ebay.com/itm/Raybestos-WK195-Front-Wheel-Cylinder-Kit-/310337697587?_trksid=p2047675.m1850&_trkparms=aid%3D222001%26algo%3DSIC.CURRENT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D11%26meid%3D6370023953118707916%26pid%3D100011%26prg%3D1005%26rk%3D1%26sd%3D190804005502%26

Or, you should be able to take these part numbers to any NAPA Auto Parts store, and get them cross referenced to a valid Napa Echlin Brake Parts number.

Lefty is spot on.  MH manual says you have 1 1/2" diameter wheel cylinder on the rear.  There are 2 cylinders per wheel.  Parts books imply you can use the same cylinder for top and bottom even though there are seperate Dodge P/N's (2954347 and 2954348 listed)

Wagner F28661
NAPA UP28661 ($25.29 ea); Rebuild Kit UP 195 ($5.95 ea)
Bendix 33390

Rear Drum Hardware kit is Bendix H9223

M600 uses 15"x4" (380mm x 102mm) shoe (Centrix P/N 111.04020).  Make sure they really have this size.

Thanks guys!
We are still working on the manifold issues, when that's done we will start on the brakes.  I'll let you know what we run into and how it turns out.
