I also saw one at a campground a couple of years ago that had a slant 6 in it. Seems that any engine that was available in a full size van could be had in the conversion. --lefty

Are you sure there were no 360's.  Also, how do i tell the difference between a 440 and a 413?  The winnie I'm referring to has a big blue chrysler in it(  the distributer is @ the front ), but I don't know how to tell what it is.

The engine displacement for chrysler engines can be found in one of two places cast into the block. the first place is on the right side of the block just rearward of the motor mount, the second place is on a stamped pad on the front of the engine above the waterpump housing viewable from the top. hope this helps. --lefty

Usually the exhaust manifolds on the 413 came out below the spark plugs, and dumped to the center, straight down.  And the 413 exhaust manifolds were identical, there was no right or left version.   The exhaust manifolds on the 440s were above the spark plugs, and I think there was a left one and a slightly different right one, but that part I am not sure about.   You can't interchange the exhaust manifolds from a 413 to a 440, cause the ports are a differnt shape, and the mounted studs are in different places.    My winny titled as a 1973 is on a chassis built in april of 72, and is a 413.  So there can be 1973 winnies early enough to have the 413, the later ones having the 440s.            denison

thanx everyone for your help.  I'm new at this.  I'm looking at a '73 brave and yes it has a 440-3 in it.
