Hello,

Well I read about 12 threads so I have a few questions now:

What I have done so far:

I was underneath where the motors are and I replaced allot of fastening screws that hold the motor bases in place. The motor bases to the fiber glass. These were screws into fiberglass. The old ones were rusted and some broken. All good and firm now.

I'd like to know if the wipers are supposed to be "timed-together" or do they run independently?  Mine seem to run independently.

Mine seem to bang at center too before going other way.

Should I adjust them to reverse earlier?  I know how to do it at the knurled cones.

Another problem I have on one side is the Steady-Pin on the OBLONG cover plate got loose and fell out and the Steady Arm went ape-***.  The steady arms are the arms that runs parallel to the wiper arms.  I tired JB Weld with no luck with it.  I may have to drill a hole and tap it and put a screw in back side to hold it in place and a lock washer.

I'm not sure of part number for a new one on this. I'd buy new if possible.  This steady arm pin that fell out is on the cover plate, where the knurled CONE sticks through,  on the outside that has two big Philips  screws and nuts on the back. Sort of Diamond shaped and oblong.

Anyway thanks for reading.

Thanks for help.

Those parts are available, someone posted them on here not long ago, probably Dave. He can find anything. I tried the search on here but I can NEVER find anything.
If nothing else check Mobility Parts Inc. they are the Winnebago parts dealer and have all the factory Winnebago stock parts.

Here you go.

OK Rick,

Thanks!

I had some luck drilling out the pin about an inch or so deep into the beefy part.

I had a 5mm Tap around. Seems about right w/ a lock washer etc and some locktite.

Need to find what a #9 drill diameter is now.

I will check link too and get a new one too. Other side may be not too far behind.

All press fitted and base is bot metal. Could not solder and JB would not stick too good.

Thanks

The whole base assembly is available as a unit and not all that expensive. I just do not remember what it was called. It is basically a truck part.

OK Rick,

The tapped 5MM hole worked good with a 5mm screw and some locktite.

I will now look at you links too, thanks allot!

This will hold me over.

Rick,

YEPPERS!  That's it!  Mine are the 1.25" center to center ones.  Great link, thanks for posting it!  I'll order 2.

One wiper seems to go way too far outboard too. Passengers side.  Haven't looked into this yet.  Drivers side seems OK. Stops at outer edge of headlight, give or take.  Passenger side blade drops off windshield "a bit" and goes few inches further than drivers side.

Need to look to see what is going on with the linkages and try to compare the 2.

Not sure what I will find. Thanks again.

Thanks for the link to AM Equipment Rick.  I just added it to our resource list.
