Need wiring schematics for a 2001 Travelaire RT 267

I have been searching the web and haven't tracked this down yet. I need the wiring diagram for our tt that was ripped out last fall when tire blew. Anyone have an idea where I can find this? The wiring for the thermostat, furnace and control panel ran under the dinette and was wrapped around the axle. No hint where anything goes. I have been told to bring it into a service repair place but that wont happen. we want to use it this year. Any one have any ideas? Thank you

How many wires are you talking about here? Thermostat is two or four, that is easy, furnas would be another two probably. When you say control panel are you talking for the whole trailer?

The control panel, or sorry the monitor panel for the fresh water, grey and black water tanks and batteries which is mounted on the range hood. The wires must have been run from there under the fridge and then under the dinette where they were taken out by a tire when it blew. Not pretty and nothing is working right now. The wires were wrapped around the axle of the trailer so no way of tracing then right now without taking things apart.

OUCH! So you are talking probably 20 plus wires. I could do it if I were there but that is a bit of a problem, you ain't exactly just down the road! Be prepared for damage to some of the components that were attached to the wires too. Those wires don't tend to break easily so they ripped out stuff with them probably. I know that is not what you want to hear but you might want to start looking at that stuff now.

Yes that sucks doesn't it? But it could have been worse if someone got hurt when the tire blew. Just lucky that it can all be fixed but it will take time. I am hoping that someone will be able to point us in the right direction so we only have to tear apart the very minimum tracing these wires

Found the auction of the company while doing some looking. You have probably already found that but note that the company was owned by an American company. Maybe, they might still know where the plans went. I doubt that stuff was just destroyed. Someone has them. There is mention of the American company in this video.

The problem may be the tank monitors, if they are the more modern capacitance type then those wires are one piece end to end and are not supposed to be cut or broken. Could be an issue, someone on here was just dealing with something similar to that with their tanks systems, one of the regulars, can't remember who.

Travelair (AKA Glendale International RV Division, Kustom koach (California) went bankrupt in 2010/11. A previous employee had purchased Travelair name rights from Glendale and licensed the name to Pacific Coachworks Inc. of Riverside, Calif. however I do not think the name is used anymore today.
I am fairly sure this is going to be a match wire color/function restore operation.

we are hoping that there is enough of wires left to match to see if components have to be fixed or replaced. Already did the furnace. Replaced the flooring. New tires all around. Tire pressure monitoring system ready to go. Now thinking of replacing all the wiring that was lost also the furnace ducts, two were ripped out in the incident. Hopefully there isnt any hidden damage but wont know until we get to it.

If those wires were ripped out like you say it is best to replace then since they are going to be damaged, whether you see it or not. Strands will be broken or stretched inside insulation. Insulation could be stripped back inside somewhere you cannot see from the yank it took. the last thing you want is to look back and find you are towing a fireball down the road! Unfortunately this is going to entail following each wire to its termination at each end. You may find some that are obviously not damaged but if there is any question at all or if the wire pulled apart, frayed strands hanging out, it should be replaced. It took a shot from whatever point at each end that was holding it. If the wires were just cut then they can be repaired but I have never seen a blown tire "cut" anything. It shreds stuff.

Ok I heard back from the outfit in Red Deer. Told me that the trailers were built different from automobiles so no diagrams are available. The wires were run from point A to B the easiest way. So I am thinking that we will be using molding in the future and not tearing up the floor and walls.

Them. Running the wiring inside will be easier and also protect it from the elements. (And errant tires).

You know I was shocked when this happened. Under the flooring over the wheels was a thin piece of plywood and a thin plate of tin. I would think that it would be lined with a thicker piece of metal to deflect rocks etc. That tire shredded everything it touched. The furnace was trashed, water lines ripped through a piece of furnace ducting was unrecognizable. I figured out what it was by the foil on it. All this happened in about a quarter mile until hubby got it to the side of the road.

I lost a tire on my car trailer a couple years ago and it peeled a 16 gauge fender up and stuck it straight out the back and then tore the inner fender panel all up. 16 gauge metal is NOT light! Took a 3lb. sledge and a half hour of banging in a Wal-mart parking lot to get it back to a drivable shape. Oh, And that was the second one of the day, the first one just broke the studs and "Left the house"! Never found that one. This was the one from the other side of the same axle that had to carry all the weight on the side wall until I realized I was missing a tire. i?? I really need to retire that poor trailer, it has been through hell and back, several times.
