Now i thought i had a dodge 460 in my sportscoach but when i enquired about new air and oil filter the guy at American parts told me that dodge never did a 460. Is this correct? He said i probally have a  Ford 460. i need to find out.

Many thanks in advance

If you have  Dodge, it's more likely a 440.  If you have a Chevy, it could be a 460.

The "normal" Dodge is a 440-3 for the RVs.

Umm, Ed  Chevy didn't make a 460 either...
Dodge-318,360,413, or 440 Depending on year and size of the camper
Chevy-327,350,427, or 454 With 350 and 454 being by far the most common
Ford-300 (6-cyl.),302,351(Windsor,Cleveland or Modified),360,390,and 460

Provide more info regarding year and type of chassis (Dodge,Ford,John Deere,Chevy, etc.. and I can help further.

Nvm, I see by your profile you have a '79 Dodge Sportsman...
You may have either a 360 or a 440 in it.

OK. Lefty.  No argument. I know NOTHING about the motors after the 440.  The Whiny Beggar had the 440-3.  After all, the motor I have in my current rig is a 000 (trailer).

On the Dodge chassis, Sportscoach installed only the 440. That is your answer.

(A 460 would have been a Ford/Lincoln motor, found in the Continental series cars.)
