Adding Transmission Temperature Gauge Probe in an A727?

Where would or how would you put a temp probe in a 727 transmission for a auto meter trans temp gauge. Hm?

Aftermarket kits that I've seen either tee off the tranny cooler line or place the sensor through a drilled and tapped hole in the tranny pan.

I'd stick it in the rear test port.   Just replace the 1/8th npt plug with a temperature sensor.

I've got one in the tranny pan and one in the hot line which is the one attached to the front fitting. I have one gauge and use a toggle switch to change back and forth.
