I was looking at the Stoves Hood unit and seen the light in it is a 75W 120 V bulb, I was under the assumption that the Light and the Fan on the Hood Unit was supposed to be 12V, Am I incorrect here or did previous owner install an incorrect bulb by chance?
I finally removed all the Hand Towels, Pot Holders, etc. that were stuffed into the Vent to keep cold air out I suppose and wanted to test and see if the Fan actually worked but after seeing the bulb I thought I would ask as I cannot read anything that was originally tagged on it as it is all painted over (just like every other important sticker, placard etc.
Oh one other thing on the outside of the Vent there is a Latch to keep the flap thingy closed, is the flapper supposed to be semi free to open and close? This one now is permanently open and does not want to budge so I may have to take the outer vent off to free it up if it is supposed to be a free flapping vent

12VDC so it can still be used if 120VA AC is not available.  You can get the bulbs at AZ or Walmart (RV section)

Ok cool then I should be able to test the Fan, I will  borrow the light from the medicine Cabinet (Hopefully it is not been changed to 120V too)
I am still trying to track down the 12V system at the back and figure what fuses go where, but I am slowly getting it figured out.

Good morning! my stove hood vent fan and light are also 12VDC and do not work but I have a push in light bulb like a car interior bulb! need to trace the wires for the hood and find out why nothing works, all my fuses are good as well.

what is kind of interesting to me is that on the same hood I have the clock and control center, all that seems to work except for the fan and the light
